Tsukuda Original Othello Multivision, 1983

Q*bert is an arcade game developed by Gottlieb that was later ported to the SG-1000 by Tsukuda Original for their Othello Multivision console.

In the game, players aim to change the color of all the cubes on the screen by guiding Q*bert to jump on them. Q*bert can only move diagonally, so players must navigate carefully to avoid falling off the edges or colliding with enemies and obstacles. Occasionally, cylindrical platforms appear on the edges of the screen, allowing Q*bert to jump to the top.

The SG-1000 version is a stripped-down adaptation, lacking many features found in the arcade original. It is also significantly more challenging, introducing more enemies in the early levels. Notably, this port does not respond to standard directional inputs (Left, Up, Right, Down), but only to diagonal movements (Up-left, Up-right, Down-right, and Down-left).

This game would later receive a sequel on a Sega console, also titled Q*bert.
